Middle DevOps Engineer

Middle DevOps Engineer at Emerging Travel Group. Remote full-time role with two openings: databases focus or CI/CD & Kubernetes. Build fault-tolerant infrastructure, scale high loads, automate, support production Kubernetes and DB clusters.

Open 2 positions with different technical focuses: 1. DevOps with a focus on databases; 2. DevOps with a focus on CI/CD & Kubernetes. Building fault-tolerant infrastructures; Scaling infrastructure for high loads; Setting up code build and delivery processes; Automating and optimizing routine actions; Implementing new tools; Supporting and developing database clusters; Managing and troubleshooting production Kubernetes clusters, writing Helm charts; On-call duty.

3+ years of commercial DevOps experience; Experience managing Linux servers and infrastructure using IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform or equivalent); GitLab CI: setting up CI/CD pipelines for seamless delivery of Docker containers with Python, Go code; Setting up and supporting database clusters (e.g. PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Aerospike, Consul); Working with monitoring and logging systems (e.g. Zabbix, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, ELK, Sentry); Dockerization: Docker, docker-compose; Experience managing and troubleshooting production Kubernetes clusters, writing Helm charts; Experience supporting and developing PostgreSQL clusters, understanding fault tolerance, backup and replication principles; Conversational English B1 or higher. Nice to have: Knowledge of PostgreSQL at operations level; Experience working with a large number of servers (bare metal); Experience with clouds (e.g. AWS, OVH, Cloudflare).
