Literary Editor / Fact-checker for a Collection of Literary Lectures

Remote project-based literary editing and fact-checking of author texts for a lecture collection. Budget around 120,000 RUB, October–December 2026.

Tasks: - Literary editing and proofreading of author texts (20-30 thousand characters each) while preserving the author's voice and intonation; - Fact-checking (dates, names, quotes, biographies) and correcting errors; - Unifying the text apparatus (quotes, footnotes, reference lists); - Backup: literary processing of raw lecture transcripts into full-fledged text; - Preparing a list of disputed edits and coordinating them with authors (via coordinator).

Requirements: - Experience in literary editing of non-fiction, lectures, or collections; - Ability to convert spoken language into competent written text without killing the speaker's voice; - Fact-checking skills and work with bibliographic apparatus; - Attention to detail (spelling, punctuation, consistency); - Ability to communicate tactfully with authors and work in tandem with coordinator; - Meeting deadlines (we work in batches of 2-3 texts).

Conditions: - Remote, project-based employment, timeline: October–December 20, 2026 (all main texts expected by November 25); - Volume: about 10-14 texts (total 300-400 thousand characters); - Submission format: DOCX in review mode plus a clean copy. Budget about 120,000 RUB for the entire project, fixed payment, paid in parts as batches are accepted (within 15 days after signing the acceptance act). Possible additional bonus based on results and quality.
