Level Designer (Lead/Senior) for Turn-Based RPG
Lead/Senior Level Designer sought for a turn-based tactical RPG combining XCOM and Fallout elements. Focus on expertise and vision, not hands-on work. Salary negotiable.
We are developing an atmospheric turn-based tactical RPG with elements of exploration, non-linearity, and deep narrative. The game combines classic XCOM grid-based tactical combat with the spirit of a post-apocalyptic world in the style of Fallout. We are looking for an experienced Level Designer who: - Has significant experience in creating levels for turn-based tactical games and/or CRPGs in the vein of XCOM, Fallout, Jagged Alliance, Shadowrun, Battle Brothers, Wartales, and similar projects. - Has participated in released projects of this genre (preferably several). - Is ready to take full responsibility for the level design of the entire game. - Will work with the team: set tasks, approve concepts, conduct level reviews, and ensure the integrity of gameplay and atmosphere.
Key requirements: - Deep understanding of how good level design works in turn-based tactical and role-playing games (interesting tactical situations, verticality, cover system, exploration pacing, non-linearity, storytelling through environment, etc.). - Experience working in a team and the ability to lead the level design direction. - Willingness and ability to be responsible for the quality of the project's levels as a whole.
