Lead Embedded Software Engineer

Full-time Embedded Software Engineer position at NS Digital in Moscow or Perm. Remote or hybrid work, salary 240-340k gross. Develop embedded software for a large-scale project.

Duties: Full lifecycle development from requirements to serial product support; debugging hardware-software integration, working with circuit engineers and layout designers.

Higher education in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Automation or related. 3+ years experience in embedded software development. Knowledge of RTOS: Embedded Linux (kernel, rootfs, Device Tree), FreeRTOS, uC/OS-III, Zephyr. Experience with 32-bit MCUs - low-level drivers and BSP. Proficient in C, basics of shell scripting (bash), preferably C++. Experience with industrial interfaces: I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232/485, CAN, Ethernet. Ability to read schematics, understand hardware peripherals (timers, ADC, DMA, interrupts). Debugging with JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, USB-UART converters. Technical documentation (API, build guides, setup instructions). Preferred: Functional safety standards (IEC 61508, IEC 61511, GOST R IEC 61508) for SIL 3; MISRA C, CERT C; Git/SVN, CI/CD; unit tests, HIL test benches; industrial networks (PROFINET, EtherCAT, Modbus).
