HyperHug is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to develop infrastructure for their mobile game, Oxide: Survival Island. Responsibilities include building processes and a team for 24/7 infrastructure reliability, managing servers, CI/CD pipelines, and incident management. Requires 5+ years of experience, cloud expertise, and DDoS protection knowledge.

In HyperHug, we create mobile games and are growing rapidly. We are currently looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to help develop the infrastructure for Oxide: Survival Island — our multiplayer survival shooter for mobile devices. Tasks: • Building processes and a team from scratch to ensure 24/7 infrastructure reliability (monitoring, on-call, incident management). • Managing servers in different regions (including the USA), ensuring stable operation. • Maintaining CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployment. • Ensuring the full lifecycle of nodes: updates, scaling, minimizing downtime. • Developing and implementing strategies for DDoS attack protection. • Managing incidents: responding quickly and resolving critical situations. • Configuring and supporting databases with high availability and fault tolerance. • Implementing best security practices and monitoring infrastructure and data protection.

What we expect from you: • 5+ years of experience in relevant DevOps/SRE positions. • Experience in building processes from scratch. • Practical experience in DDoS protection. • Understanding of centralized node management systems. • Experience with clouds (AWS, GCP, or similar). • Proficient in CI/CD and automation tools. • Experience managing distributed servers. • Strong incident resolution and troubleshooting skills.
