Game Mathematician / Specialist in Game Mechanics Mathematics
We are looking for a Game Mathematician to develop and tune the mathematical model for a large CS2 case opening site. Long-term project.
We are developing a large website for opening cases with CS2 items/skins. We are looking for a strong mathematician to take on the development and tuning of the project's mathematical model. Main tasks: • Calculation of the mathematical model for case opening • Tuning drop probabilities for items • Calculation of RTP, EV, and project margin • Calculation of variance/volatility • Tuning case prices relative to the value of contained items • Modeling large numbers of openings (Monte Carlo) • Checking the economy over the long run: 100k / 1M / 10M+ openings • Analysis of potential loss scenarios for the platform • Development of an algorithm for automatic probability recalculation when market prices of CS2 skins change • Mathematical tuning of bonus mechanics, upgrades, battles, and other game modes • Control of the overall project economy and its stability What we want to get: A mathematical system where you can set the required RTP/margin, and the algorithm correctly calculates probabilities and case economy considering item values. It is important that actual results over a large number of runs match the calculated mathematical model.
A big plus would be experience in: iGaming / Game Math / Loot Boxes / Case Opening / CS2 / Slots / RNG / Game Economy. Knowledge of Python and experience with Monte-Carlo simulations are also big advantages. We need not just a programmer, but a person who truly understands probability theory, mathematical statistics, and the economy of such game systems.
Long-term project. After developing the main model, further work on new mechanics and balance will be required.
