Game Designer
Game Designer for COD GAME's atmospheric horror project about an abandoned puppet theater, inspired by Poppy Playtime and FNAF. Part-time remote, unpaid, profit share.
We are a small indie team creating an atmospheric survival-horror game about an abandoned puppet theater. Inspiration: Poppy Playtime and FNAF: tense atmosphere, charismatic puppet antagonists, fear through narrative and environment. This is a non-commercial project at the start — made out of love for the genre, without budget, but with passion and desire to release. Responsibilities: - Develop game mechanics (stealth, puzzles, interaction with enemies) - Design horror pacing — balance tension and breaks - Work on behavior and AI patterns of puppet antagonists - Write and maintain GDD - Work closely with narrative designer and artists on lore - Design levels together with the team - Test mechanics, gather feedback, iterate
We are looking for someone who: - Understands the horror genre, the mechanics of fear and tension - Is ready to work remotely and independently, without constant supervision - Has at least a small portfolio/examples of ideas or implemented mechanics - Is familiar with Unity or Unreal Engine - Can clearly formulate and document ideas - Is passionate about horror, dolls, creepypasta — this is more important than formal experience
What we offer: - Participation in creating an atmospheric project from scratch, influence on key decisions - Friendly team of enthusiasts - Experience and portfolio — if the project succeeds, it will be a notable case - % of future profit - Flexible schedule, work from anywhere Important: The project is non-commercial at this stage, there is no payment. We are looking for people interested in the process and genre, not quick profit.
