Game Designer of Cooperative Gameplay
Knitted Cats is seeking a strong Game Designer with co-op gameplay experience for Night Shift Hospital, a cooperative game for up to four players about a hospital night shift. Remote work, salary based on interview.
We are making Night Shift Hospital — a cooperative game about a night shift in a hospital. Up to four players try to handle the flow of patients: check symptoms, make a diagnosis and send each one to the right treatment. Patients won't wait forever, mistakes pile up, and each new shift will definitely throw in something the team isn't ready for. Responsibilities: — design mechanics for player interaction; — come up with tasks that require coordination and joint decisions; — tune the pace, difficulty and game situations for a team of up to four people; — describe mechanics and set clear tasks for the team; — conduct playtests and refine solutions based on their results.
— experience developing cooperative games or mechanics for multiple players; — understanding of what makes a co-op game interesting; — willingness to play the project a lot, notice problems and change solutions based on playtest results; — ability to clearly explain your ideas to the team.
Format: remote work Payment: based on interview results
