Data Scientist

SM Lab is hiring a Middle Data Scientist in Moscow (hybrid or remote) to optimize assortment portfolio. Requires 2+ years in similar role, Python and SQL; involves ML models, ETL pipelines, and analytics.

SM Lab is an IT company that creates and develops IT products, supports digital services, and ensures the quality and reliability of solutions for large clothing, footwear, and sporting goods retailers. The project focuses on optimizing the assortment portfolio. The Data Office team is responsible for robotizing key company processes through data monetization and embedding new decision-making technologies, including AI. Responsibilities: - Develop heuristic algorithms and ML models for business tasks - Develop ETL pipelines for collecting and processing data required for algorithm calculation and ML model training - Develop automated pipelines for algorithm calculation, ML model training, and scoring - Explore data to find product growth points and conduct ad-hoc analytics

Higher education (mathematics / physics / software engineering / computer science / data science) Experience in a similar role for 2+ years Confident Python skills (development, automation, using data processing libraries, working with big data) Confident SQL skills (complex queries, analytical functions)

Work format: hybrid or remote (Moscow).
