Data / ML Platform Engineer (Middle+ / Senior)

AstraTech HealthTech startup seeks a Data/ML Platform Engineer (Middle+/Senior). Full-time, hybrid/remote in Russia, Moscow. Salary 280,000-400,000 RUB gross. Build data and ML/LLM platforms for clinical decision support.

HealthTech startup creating a clinical decision support product to make healthcare more efficient and help doctors make better decisions. The team is building a Data Platform and ML/LLM Platform - a unified data path from ingestion to measured model results. We are looking for an engineer to take over data preparation and tools for the ML team, and to run model experiments. Responsibilities: - Develop Python/SQL pipelines for loading and processing data from files, APIs, and information systems. - Design warehouse tables: entities, relationships, transformation rules. - Implement pseudo-anonymization and quality checks in data flows. - Prepare features and versioned train/validation/test datasets. - Ensure traceability and reproducibility of ML/LLM experiments. - Work with the ML team to improve model evaluation, data preparation for RAG and fine-tuning.

Expectations: - Confident Python and SQL, maintainable code beyond notebooks. - Practical ETL/ELT experience: orchestration, incremental processing, reruns. - Experience with S3, Parquet, pandas/Polars/PyArrow. - Understanding ML lifecycle: samples, baseline, metrics, leakage checks. - Experience with MLflow, ClearML or similar; Linux, Git, Docker, CI/CD. - Ability to work with sensitive data. Nice to have: - Experience with medical data, MIS, clinical references. - Practical NLP/LLM: text data extraction, embeddings, RAG. - PyTorch/Hugging Face, fine-tuning and inference on GPU. - Experience turning research prototypes into regular pipelines.
