Data Engineer

Accredited IT company 'Systems and Algorithms' is looking for a Data Engineer. Salary: 270,000-295,000 RUB gross. Remote in Russia. Full-time.

Participation in a large-scale digital transformation project affecting key production processes. Experience as a Data Engineer for 4+ years in software development. Experience with key stack components: Postgres, MSSQL, OLAP engines (Trino, StarRocks), modern warehouses (Cassandra, Redis), Apache Airflow (DAGs, custom operators), Apache Kafka (producer/consumer), Apache Flink (streaming jobs, state, checkpoints), Apache Iceberg, Lakekeeper, S3, CDC patterns. Deep knowledge of data and database architecture: normalization/denormalization, relational and columnar models, data lifecycle, retention, versioning. Proficient in Python: scripts, modules, async, DAGs in Airflow, custom operators, hooks, sensors. Profiling, bottleneck identification, SQL optimization, cluster resource tuning. Confident user of Jira and Confluence. Experience in data storage organization for OLAP/OLTP tasks with consistency/integrity. Experience in data processing for OLAP/OLTP with batch processing and CDC patterns. Understanding of integration flow patterns (batch, CDC) considering 3V+ characteristics. Experience in creating and maintaining Service-Desk requests. Ability to structure information, work with requirements, document technical solutions. English at reading and technical writing level. Nice to have: experience with time-series databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, TDengine), deep cluster operation experience (Hadoop, YARN, Kubernetes) in production, advanced SQL (window functions, CTE), CI/CD for data pipelines, DDD and event-driven architecture, Apache NiFi.
