Data Engineer

Data Engineer at NITEC (National Information Technologies) in Astana, office at EXPO BC. Full-time on-site, 5/2, 9:00-18:30. Salary 320,000-600,000 KZT gross per month. Junior data engineering role.

Project: large-scale government data platform, from source to data mart. Responsibilities: - Develop and support ETL/ELT processes in Airflow - Set up data loading from external sources and government systems - Build data layers and marts in dbt on ClickHouse/PostgreSQL - Write and optimize SQL queries - Ensure data quality and monitor pipelines - Work closely with analysts and DS team Stack: ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Minio; BI: Superset, Lightdash, Metabase; languages: SQL, Python (pandas, matplotlib, seaborn); tools: Git, dbt, Airflow, Spark, DataHub.

Expected: - Confident basic SQL (JOIN, aggregations, window functions) - Python for data work (pandas, APIs, files) - Understanding of relational databases and data storage principles - Basic Linux and Git skills - Accuracy, responsibility, and desire to grow in Data Engineering Nice to have: - Experience with Airflow, dbt, or Docker (at least in training projects) - Familiarity with ClickHouse or other columnar DBMS - Pet projects, courses, or GitHub with data code
