Data Engineer (Middle+/Senior)

Data Engineer at MyCar in Almaty, Kazakhstan (hybrid), Middle+/Senior, building and maintaining corporate data warehouse, ETL/ELT, data marts, dashboards and monitoring. Stack: PostgreSQL, Kafka, ClickHouse, Airflow, Python.

MyCar is looking for a Data Engineer to develop its corporate data warehouse. Responsibilities: — Develop the corporate data warehouse: design layers, schemas, tables and views, and optimize storage structure. — Develop and maintain data marts for analytics. — Design and develop data loading processes from heterogeneous sources. — Set up data flows between systems: integrations, synchronization, error handling. — Build dashboards, alerting and monitoring. — Ensure pipeline observability: monitor data quality, track delays and load failures. — Audit current solutions and identify growth points. — Gather and clarify data requirements together with analysts and business stakeholders. — Participate in data analysis: identify dependencies, build logical relationships and prepare data for analytics.

— 4+ years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer. — Understanding of DWH principles: Kimball / Inmon, star schema, ETL / ELT. — Experience building master data systems. — Ability to independently turn a vague business task into a data model and work plan. Nice to have: — Experience owning the architecture of a warehouse or a large domain, not only individual pipelines. — Systematic approach to data quality: checks, SLAs, agreements with source owners. — Experience with ML and Computer Vision.
