ClickHouse DBA

ClickHouse DBA at an international product IT company for high-load entertainment online services. Office in Cyprus, relocation possible, full-time. Administer ClickHouse clusters, optimize performance, replication, sharding.

International product IT company developing and supporting high-load projects for large companies, mostly entertainment online services, is expanding its DBA team. We are looking for two specialists: ClickHouse DBA and Greenplum DBA. Expertise in both DBMS is not required - we consider candidates with strong experience in either ClickHouse or Greenplum. Responsibilities: - Maintain and develop data storage and delivery system architecture; - Administer and support existing clusters; - Participate in designing data warehouse architecture; - Optimize database performance, SQL queries, and data schemas; - Set up replication, sharding, and backup processes; - Configure and optimize DB for high load; - Develop monitoring systems; - Troubleshoot complex incidents, find causes of performance degradation and data issues; - Work closely with development and infrastructure teams. Important: we are not looking for a specialist who necessarily knows both ClickHouse and Greenplum. There are two separate positions - we welcome candidates with relevant experience in one of these DBMS.

For ClickHouse DBA: - Practical experience administering ClickHouse; - Deep understanding of ClickHouse internals: engines, indexes, replication, sharding; - Experience configuring and optimizing ClickHouse instances; - Confident knowledge of Linux, SQL, and Bash; - Experience with monitoring systems. Nice to have: - Experience with other DBMS: ClickHouse, Greenplum, Vertica, PostgreSQL, or MySQL; - Experience with Kafka and Debezium; - Python for automating routine tasks; - Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack; - ELK, LogHouse, Graylog; - Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Pushgateway; - Understanding of AD, LDAP, Kerberos; - Experience administering high-load and fault-tolerant systems.
