Chief Corrosion Protection Specialist

A large oil and gas company is hiring a Chief Corrosion Protection Specialist. Responsibilities include developing corrosion monitoring equipment, material selection, and corrosion protection plans. Full-time, relocation in Russia.

Responsibilities: Development and implementation of equipment for corrosion condition and corrosion monitoring. Participation in the selection of equipment types for corrosion protection and monitoring. Selection and coordination of material and technical execution of equipment at all stages of the equipment and facility lifecycle, from pre-project stage to operation (including material change). Preparation of corrosion protection plans for facilities with preliminary formation of corrosion contours, technical integrity windows, and practical recommendations to prevent expected degradation mechanisms. Establishment of corrosion monitoring points at facilities.

Experience in material selection in the oil and gas industry for sour environments with chlorides. Experience in assessing equipment materials for compliance with operating conditions. Experience in resolving issues related to underprotection in cathodic protection, with specific cases. Experience in developing inspection and testing programs for coatings and corrosion inhibitors.
