Business Journalist
Educational project for business owners seeks a business journalist to interview entrepreneurs, write stories and SEO articles. Remote, 2-3 pieces per week, fixed pay per material.
We are an educational project for business owners focused on building strong teams and management. One of our directions is a business magazine where we analyze entrepreneurs' experience and publish practical materials on current business topics. We are expanding our editorial team and looking for a business journalist who can work with heroes and facts, deeply understand the topic, and find strong angles for materials. In the magazine, we tell stories of entrepreneurs, analyze their business and management decisions, and publish articles on topics that concern owners. We need a journalist who can work both with heroes and with independent editorial topics. Tasks: - Conduct interviews with entrepreneurs. Prepare for the hero independently, study their business, find interesting lines for conversation, and conduct the interview. - Write stories of entrepreneurs. Not just transcribe, but find the central theme and build a strong piece around it. - Write articles based on business owners' requests. Research the topic, find data and examples, collect comments from entrepreneurs and experts, and find a non-trivial angle where it seems everything has already been written. - Work with search topics. We need SEO articles that answer a specific reader query but remain proper journalistic pieces, not texts for keywords. - Work with team and management topics. In some materials, organically connect heroes' experience with hiring, management, and team building - without promotional inserts or forced conclusions.
We need a business journalist, not a copywriter. Experience with T—Zh 'Business', 'T-Business Secrets', RB.RU, Inc., Forbes, or other business media will be an advantage. Expectations: - Able to conduct interviews, not just work with ready transcripts. - Understand business and can speak with an entrepreneur on the same level. - Able to independently research a topic and find facts. - See a story behind a set of facts and understand what to build the material around. - Able to ask uncomfortable and clarifying questions if the story remains superficial without them. - Can find a fresh angle in a topic that has been covered dozens of times. - Write vividly and clearly, without bureaucratic language, water, or 'successful success'. - Carefully work with facts, numbers, and quotes, and do not make things up for the hero.
Remote work, 2-3 materials per week, payment: by agreement (fixed per material), we provide heroes and contacts for interviews, work in tandem with an editor, before starting cooperation - a test assignment is required. How to apply: Send 3-5 of your best business-themed materials. Among them, there must be articles for which you conducted interviews yourself. Add a few words about your experience: which publications and topics you worked with and how much your work on one material costs. Write to ***** with the note 'JOURNALIST'.
