Book designer needed for creating family books based on interviews and memories. Part of a psychological project. Collaboration paid, conditions negotiable. Based in Novosibirsk.

We are launching a new direction — creating family books based on interviews, memories, and real stories of people. We want to create beautiful, interesting, and deep books that reveal a person's personality, character, life path, values, and experience. Books that are pleasant to hold, want to reread, and pass on to future generations. We already have a team, a developed concept, and a large amount of materials for the first book: interviews, texts, and family photos. Now we are forming a separate product team, into which we are looking for a literary author-editor and a book designer. What is to be done? At the first stage — get acquainted with the concept and materials of the book, propose a visual design and create several sample spreads with different combinations of text and photos. In the future — together with the team, work on the design of the entire book, preparation of the layout for printing, and creation of templates for future editions. We also plan to gradually build a technology for creating such books using AI. Therefore, we are looking for a person who is interested not only in design but also in helping to develop unified design principles that can be used in future projects.

A person with good taste, a sense of composition, and attention to detail who loves to work with books and wants to participate in creating a new product. Possible candidates: book designers and layout specialists; graphic designers with experience in designing books, magazines, and other multi-page publications; designers of photo books, family albums, and gift editions; aspiring book designers with a strong portfolio. The main thing for us is not the number of completed projects or titles, but the ability to create beautiful, thoughtful, and easy-to-read books. We especially value the ability to interestingly combine text and photos, work with archival images, select fonts, and create a design that helps reveal the story rather than distract from it. Not only the cover design is important, but also the design of the internal pages and spreads.
