AQA Engineer (Python)

AQA Engineer (Python) at Kokoc Tech. Remote in Russia, long-term project. Up to 1500 RUB/hour gross. Testing microservices for federal retail and e-commerce.

Project: Federal retail and e-commerce. Functional, integration, and API testing of microservices of transport companies, work with courier delivery and pickup points, preparation of test model and test cases, automation of regression API checks in Python. Tasks: Testing the process of decomposing a monolithic PHP application and transferring business functionality to microservices in Go. Checking preservation of current system behavior, API contracts, integrations, correctness of migration and data processing. Conducting functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. Identifying discrepancies between the monolith and the new microservice implementation.

General work experience: From 3 years in testing backend services, APIs, and integrations between corporate systems. Experience in required stack/direction: API testing - from 3 years; Microservices testing - from 3 years; SQL/PostgreSQL - from 2 years; Testing asynchronous processes and queues/worker components - from 2 years; Docker/Kubernetes - from 1 year; Jira/Confluence/GitLab - from 1 year. Relevant project experience: At least three commercial Enterprise-level projects. Mandatory experience in testing microservice architecture, API contracts, integrations with legacy systems, asynchronous processing, retry logic, error handling of external systems, idempotency, and repeated result issuance. Industry experience: E-commerce, transport logistics, warehouse logistics. Mandatory technologies/tools: Python for automated tests, pytest or similar Python framework, REST API, Postman/Insomnia or similar, Swagger/OpenAPI, PostgreSQL, SQL, JSON/JSONB, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Docker, Kubernetes, S3-compatible storage, log analysis and monitoring tools. Desirable technologies/tools: Experience in writing unit/integration/contract tests, RestAssured/Newman or similar, Kafka or RabbitMQ, Redis, MinIO, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Allure/TestRail/Zephyr, Charles/Fiddler, PlantUML/C4. Task tracking and documentation systems: Jira, Confluence, GitLab. Must maintain test cases, checklists, defects, test run results, record test data, and provide daily reports on completed work in an agreed communication channel.

Employment: Project-based, long-term project (full-time). Format: Remote in Russia. Location: Strictly Moscow, Saransk. Registration: GPC, individual entrepreneur. Salary: Up to 1500 RUB per hour gross.
