AI Engineer / Fullstack Developer of AI Solutions

AI Engineer / Fullstack Developer needed to develop AI image processing pipelines and integrate LLMs at SM Lab. Full-time, remote possible.

Develop a product processing pipeline: receive data and photos, parse text tasks, analyze images, and assemble product cards. Integrate language and multimodal models, segmentation and image generation services. Validate structured model outputs and handle errors. Develop backend services in Python or Node.js: APIs, background tasks, data handling, and integrations with corporate systems. Develop interfaces in React or Vue with TypeScript for viewing results, manual edits, and content acceptance. Work with text and graphic placement on images: consider product areas, free space, platform restrictions, and brand design rules. Make processing reproducible and understandable for editors: save decision reasons, account for manual edits, show progress and errors. Check result quality on real products and improve the system with editors and content customers. Participate in other team tasks: web services, AI/ML applications, data pipelines, and DAGs.

Strong Python and experience developing backend services and APIs. Experience developing entire applied systems: backend, interface, API, and necessary integrations. Practical experience applying AI/ML models to applied tasks and transferring model logic into working applications and services. Practical experience creating applications with LLMs: structured output, context handling, and resilience to model errors. Experience with React or Vue and TypeScript at a level sufficient to independently develop a working user interface. Solid SQL and experience with relational databases. Ability to design APIs, background processes, and integrations with external and internal systems, considering response time constraints and correctly handling failures. Understanding basic application architecture principles: separation of responsibilities, configuration, logging, testing, and environment reproducibility. Experience with Docker and Git. Willingness to work with data tasks when necessary: data processing pipelines, DAGs, and existing ML infrastructure. Experience with Codex, Claude, or other AI development tools. Important to understand architecture and code quality. Technical English for reading documentation and professional materials. Nice to have: experience with multimodal models, computer vision, image segmentation, object coordinates, graphics processing; experience creating image editors or other visual content interfaces; RAG systems and AI agents; open-source models and local inference; FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis; data pipelines and DAGs in Airflow, Spark; Oracle and corporate systems; Node.js; bringing DS/ML prototypes to working applications; oriented to strong Middle+/Senior developer.
