3D Environment Artist for Multiplayer Shooter (UE5)
3D Environment Artist (Middle+) for a multiplayer shooter on UE5. Remote, full-time. Create game-ready environments, props, and scenes in Unreal Engine.
We need an independent specialist who can not just model individual assets, but understands the environment as part of a game scene: context, composition, scale, functionality of objects, and how it all works together. Responsibilities: • Creating and refining game environments — architecture, interiors, vehicles, props • Modeling game-ready assets and preparing them for Unreal Engine • UV unwrapping and working with materials • Assembling and populating scenes in UE5 • Working within the project's existing art and technical pipeline • Independently developing missing environment details and finding suitable references • Interacting with Level Design, concept artists, and other team members
• Middle+ level and confident experience with game 3D environments • Confident modeling of architecture, interiors, and props • Good understanding of scale, composition, and visual context of environments • Ability to independently make art and technical decisions when the task is not fully defined • Understanding of real-time requirements and specifics of creating game-ready assets • Experience with Unreal Engine • Ability to work with an existing pipeline and adapt to the project's style • Good visual awareness in games and understanding of how game environments work Big plus: • Experience independently developing small environment areas from idea to finished scene • Work with decals, trim sheets, vertex paint, and other UE5 tools • Understanding of optimization and performance • Good understanding of lighting in Unreal Engine • Experience with vehicles, mechanical objects, and complex props • Basic understanding of Level Design and how environments interact with game logic and player movement Important: We care less about a portfolio of the most complex technical works, and more about understanding the specialist's independence and thinking. The portfolio should show confident work with game environments. During the interview, we may conduct a small practical task in real time to see how you make decisions, work with tasks, and navigate Unreal Engine.
• Remote work • Full-time • Work on an original multiplayer shooter on UE5
